When Dominic West was first cast in The Crown as the then-Prince Charles, now King Charles III, he was initially reluctant to take on the role. However, after reading the scripts and meeting with the show's creator, Peter Morgan, he was convinced that it was a project he wanted to be a part of.
Lesley Manville Joins the Cast
In the upcoming fifth and sixth seasons of The Crown, Lesley Manville will be joining the cast as Margaret Thatcher. Manville is a two-time BAFTA Award winner and has been nominated for an Academy Award. She will bring her considerable talent to the role of Thatcher, who was one of the most controversial and influential British Prime Ministers of the 20th century.
The fifth season of The Crown is due to premiere on Netflix in November 2022, with the sixth and final season following in 2023.
