Edmonton, Alberta - Evan Bouchard scored the game-winning goal with 381 seconds remaining in the third period, and the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday night.

The Oilers now lead the series 3-2 and are one win away from advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 2006. Game 6 will be played in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl also scored for the Oilers, while Anze Kopitar and Phillip Danault scored for the Kings.

Mike Smith made 28 saves for the Oilers, while Jonathan Quick made 33 saves for the Kings.

The Oilers were outshot 35-23 by the Kings, but they made the most of their chances. They were 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Kings were 0-for-2.

The Oilers' win streak is now at 11 games, which is the longest in franchise history. They are the first team to win 11 consecutive games in the playoffs since the 1984 New York Islanders.
